Source : Aljarmaq News A Palestinian lawyer, Khaled Mahajna, reported that a female Israeli soldier sexually abused a Palestinian detainee in front of his fellow prisoners, laughing as she carried out the act. “All prisoners were forced to watch as this detainee was stripped naked and sexually abused,” Mahajna said. He added, “Any act of protest could result in the death of the prisoner.”

Fire erupts at UNRWA headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem after Israeli demolition A fire broke out at the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem after Israeli bulldozers partially demolished the compound last week, the agency said. “After having been stormed and demolished by the Israeli authorities, the UNRWA Headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem has now been set on fire,” UNRWA said in a statement, adding that the incident forms part of an “ongoing attempt to dismantle the status of Palestine refugees in the Occupied Palestinian territory and erase their history.” UNRWA did not specify the cause of the fire. Israeli fire and rescue teams said they responded to a report from the compound and were working to “put out the fire and prevent it from spreading.” The UN agency reiterated that its premises are protected under UN privileges and immunities. UNRWA spokesperson Jonathan Fowler said: “Like any UN Member State anywhere in the world, without exception, Israel is legally obliged to protect and respect UN facilities.”
